So it turns out people are interested in the chap who suddenly made an appearance in one of my paintings yesterday. Well, then I'd better make an effort and introduce him properly.
This is Elyott Drake, born of Kryta, a street dog in his youth, mercenary, prize fighter, occasional hitman and explosives expert (the scar comes from one of his earlier experiments). Despite his rough existence he has a cheeful personality and (mostly) easy temper. Quick wits, a quicker mouth and a habitual disregard of authority have landed him in his share of tight spots. In one of those, he met Eryn.
The two share a casual on-and-off relationship. He pokes fun at her secretive manner but respects her need for solitude and personal space. Despite herself, she can't help liking him, and she finds herself sharing some of her past with him. He knows of her immortality, which is something she almost never confides to anyone. He's also the later father of Eyulf Drake, Eryn's second son, although that hasn't happened yet at this point in time.
[Eryn's first son is called Elgyr and is now a grown man; his father is Wulfgar Trabane, an infamous Norn tribesman, with whom Eryn had a brief, unromantic stint (not knowing she could become pregnant)]
